Territory Manager – Southwest (Texas & Louisiana)

Remote | Must Reside Within Territory

Base Salary: $100,000 – $120,000

Expected First-Year Earnings: $140,000 – $150,000+

Industry: Flat Rolled Steel / Metals Service Center

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Territory Manager to drive profitable growth throughout Texas and Louisiana. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercial sales professional who enjoys both hunting for new business and growing existing accounts while having the autonomy to manage their own territory. You'll be supported by experienced commercial leadership, inside sales, operations, and technical teams while maintaining the flexibility to build and execute your own growth strategy.

  • Cut-to-length sheets
  • Precision blanks
  • Value-added stamped products


Target Markets

Customers range from transactional truckload buyers to large annual contract accounts. You'll focus on customers throughout Texas and Louisiana, including:

  • HVAC manufacturers
  • Construction companies
  • Metal building manufacturers
  • Entry door manufacturers
  • Solar industry customers


A book of business is preferred but not required.


Job Duties

Territory Growth & Business Development

  • Develop and execute a strategic territory growth plan
  • Prospect and secure new customer relationships
  • Identify opportunities for value-added manufacturing solutions
  • Expand market share within assigned territory
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and competitive activity

Account Management

  • Manage and grow existing customer relationships
  • Conduct regular business reviews
  • Serve as the primary commercial contact for customers
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure exceptional service and execution

Commercial & Financial Leadership

  • Manage territory pricing strategy and margin performance
  • Support forecasting and inventory planning activities
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage opportunities and customer interactions
  • Report market intelligence and territory performance to leadership

Travel

  • Approximately 50% travel throughout the territory.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial sales, territory management, or business development experience
  • Experience developing territories and driving revenue growth
  • Metals, steel, manufacturing, or industrial sales experience preferred
  • Strong relationship-building and customer management skills
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft 365
  • Lean problem-solving experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required


Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $100,000 – $120,000

Bonus Structure

  • Quarterly performance bonus
  • Annual company performance bonus
  • New account incentive: 4% of first-year margin generated from new business

Expected Year 1 Earnings: $140,000 – $150,000+
