Value Added Inside Sales Representative

American Dream Search is representing a financially strong, third-generation, family-owned steel service center in the Nashville market that has been in business since 1985. This organization is stable, growth-oriented, and team-focused — without heavy corporate oversight.


They are looking to add a Value-Added Inside Sales Rep who understands carbon steel and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.


What You’ll Do

  • Manage assigned accounts as the internal account manager
  • Prospect and generate new business (hunter + farmer role)
  • Follow up on quotes and secure orders
  • Coordinate value-added processing including laser, plasma, press brake, shearing, and sawing
  • Work cross-functionally with warehouse and credit teams
  • Make outbound calls to uncover new opportunities


This is an in-office role in Nashville.


Compensation

  • Base: $57,500 – $62,500
  • Monthly GP Bonus
  • Year 1 OTE: $70K–$75K+
  • Top performers: $90K+


No rigid quotas — performance is a collective effort, but strong contributors are expected.


What They’re Looking For

  • Carbon steel inside sales experience (required)
  • 3+ years relevant experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude for quoting value-added work
  • Comfortable on the phone making outbound calls
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, competitive
  • AutoCAD / ProNest experience is a plus
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
  • Book of business helpful but not required


Ideal Outcome

Within 6 months, you should be capable of handling $3.5M–$5M in annual sales volume.
