Territory Manager (O&G Specialty Metals)

American Dream Search is representing a global specialty metals organization seeking a Territory Sales Manager to develop and grow business across the central United States.

📍 Oklahoma | Kansas | Colorado | Utah | New Mexico


This role will be responsible for building a largely undeveloped territory, focusing on the sale of nickel alloys, copper alloys, and stainless steel bar products into key industrial markets including Oil & Gas and Chemical/Process Industries. The ideal candidate brings strong industry relationships, technical product knowledge, and the ability to develop new accounts across a multi-state region.


Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Develop and execute a territory growth strategy
  • Identify and win new customers across Oil & Gas and chemical markets
  • Expand existing accounts through cross-selling and relationship development
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through order execution

Product & Market Expertise

  • Sell specialty metals including nickel alloys, copper alloys, and stainless steel
  • Support customers with material selection and application knowledge
  • Coordinate with internal mill and distribution partners for sourcing solutions
  • Work closely with operations and supply chain to ensure customer expectations are met

Territory Management

  • Manage sales pipeline and CRM activity
  • Conduct regular customer visits across the territory
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and competitive activity
  • Represent the company at industry events and customer meetings


Qualifications

Required

  • 3–5+ years of sales experience in metals distribution, specialty metals, or industrial products
  • Experience selling into Oil & Gas or Chemical/Process Industries
  • Knowledge of nickel alloys, copper alloys, stainless steel, or metal bar products
  • Strong business development skills and ability to build a territory
  • Willingness to travel throughout the region

Highly Preferred

  • Existing relationships and book of business within the territory
  • Background selling specialty alloys or bar products
  • Experience working with machining or value-added metal services


Compensation

Base Salary: $75,000 – $95,000

Commission: 4% of gross profit

Typical Earnings:

  • $120K – $150K in slower markets
  • Up to $200K+ in strong years

Additional Benefits:

  • $12,000 annual car allowance


Growth Opportunity

This role is expected to build the territory to:

  • $1M in revenue in Year 1
  • $3M in Year 2
  • $10M+ regional business within 5 years


As the region grows, this position has the potential to evolve into a leadership role with a regional sales team.
